Hi there...a couple of days make all the difference in the world. Dallas is feeling much better, the fever is gone and the antibiotics are starting to do their stuff. We had a check up with the surgeon today and it went well - Dallas had to give up his latest fashion accessory - his chest tube drain - yeah! I heaved a sigh of relief about that one...little steps, right? Another week of quiet rest and then next Friday we have an appointment for staple and stitch removal - he'll be as good as new!

Great news! Always a relief to shed the drains! Wonderful progress. I can imagine Dallas thoroughly enjoying the Olympic games from his couch-side seat?

Thanks Ev & Bill...you're right - so much can change in a week. It's all good! Dallas is pretty restless so he's wearing a path in our new hardwood floor instead of watching the games 24/7. Thanks for all your support. Take care.

Wearing a path in your floor!!? I thought he would be in bed watching all the soap operas. (OK, maybe the fishing channel). Glad to hear he has so much energy. Before you know it he'll be out on the water again.
